Assignment task

You will create a website as a case study of a particular aspect of education and society. You can choose from any of the issues we’ve covered in the course and will draw on a range different media (images, blogs, video, audio, etc.) to explore contemporary discussions of the issue from various viewpoints. You will connect the discussion of your chosen issue to the wider debates around inclusion and inequality in education. You will include material from various actors impacted by the issue, including pupils, parents, teachers, and other professionals, and examine means of addressing the issue.

Learning Outcomes & Marking Criteria

?Identify key social, cultural, economic and political debates informing contemporary education across a range of settings.

?Explore the challenges facing different actors within education, such as pupils, parents, governors, teachers, politicians, and multi-agency professionals.

?Show an awareness of different responses to issues in inequality in education, including responses from institutions other than schools.

?Demonstrate an ability to communicate clearly and accurately; follow academic conventions appropriate to undergraduate study

?To demonstrate high levels of commitment and engagement in sessions

Guide to Submission:

1. You must first 'publish' your website on Weebly. This will allow your website to be accessed via the URL. The URL will appear in a pop up box when you click 'publish'

2. Copy and paste this URL below the marking criteria box on the assessment coversheet. Check that the URL works.

3. You must also take screenshots of each page on your website, and insert these below your URL on the coversheet.

(You can either use the snipping tool to do this, or use the print screen button. Further guidance can be given if required).

4. Save your document as a Word Document file. Other formats will not be accepted.
