SUMMATIVE ASSIGNMENT

The dataset ceosal.xls contains observations on the salary of 177 chief executive

officers (CEOs) in 1990, various performance measures of their firms, as well

as personal information such as tenure and education.

Construct an appropriate econometric model to identify the factors affecting a

CEO’s salary. Your report should include attempts to find your preferred

regression model, carrying out necessary tests to evaluate the model, and

interpreting the estimates and the results of the tests you have performed.

Overall word limit, 1000 words maximum.

11.59AM ON 13 DECEMBER 2019.

Performance in the summative assessment for this module is judged against the following

Students are advised to use Arial font size 12 for their assignments.

Assignments must be typed or word-processed on A4 paper using 1.5 or double spacing and

with margins of 2-3 cm. Pages should be numbered and stapled together in the top left hand

corner. The word count should include all the text (endnotes, footnotes and any text in the
