COMP 5048 Visual Analytics 2019

Assignment 1: Individual work

Deadline:September 19 (Week 7) Thursday 5:00pm (soft copy on Canvas and hard copy to

School of Computer Science building reception (Level 2))

Task: Construct a good visualisation of two of the following graphs.

For details, check the instructions on each link below.

For this assignment, you can use any software you like; alternatively, you can simply use pen-andpaper.

You may want to use a simple graph editor (such as visio), or implement any existing/new

algorithms. This assignment will be marked by the quality of the visualisation.

Data:

At least one must be taken from the following A graphs:

A1. Marvel Cinematic Universe from Graph Drawing Contest 2019 (first dataset on
