ISYS 2013 Final Assessment (Trimester 3A, 2022)

Due Date: 9th  March 11pm

This take-home exam contains five questions in multiple parts. Answer ALL questions. DO NOT discuss your answers to these questions with other students. Make your submission on  Blackboard through Turnitin by the due date.

Instruction for submission:

1) You  need  to  submit  the  work  breakdown  structure  as a Microsoft project  file in  the  first submission link on assessment> further assessment page.

2) You need to submit the answers for question 2, 3, 4 and 5 in Microsoft word file in the second Turnitin submission link on assessment> further assessment page.

1.   Develop the work breakdown structure (including time, resource allocation and any cost allocation as required with no resource over-allocation)                                                         (20 marks)

Project Background and Description

Shared Our Kitchen company is based on the ghost kitchen business model where a professional food preparation and coking facility set up for the preparation of delivery-only meals. The Shared Our Kitchen company is emerged as a business model in response to the rapid growth in consumer demand for restaurant delivery meals.

This company will provide the kitchen equipment and facilities needed for the chefs who are facing difficulties with the needs of high capital to rent a space for opening the restaurants in high-rent, high-foot-trafficked urban  locations.  It will also offer  point of sale and ordering software that accommodates various delivery platforms (UberEats, Deliveroo, Menulog, etc ). It also provides its own delivery services.

It also  provides the  produce  ordering systems to the chefs where  meat, fruits  and vegetable producers will list the available products and the chefs can place orders for required produce. Meat, fruits and vegetable producers will deliver their produces to the company’s storage facilities where chefs can pick up their ordered goods and make payments.

Your project team is responsible for organizing the opening event for Shared Our Kitchen company

4.   The figures  used in Earned Value Analysis provide measures to indicate the status of a project incorporating measures for time, cost and scope. The key values are Earned Value, Planned Value and Actual Cost. The following calculations have been made for a project:

c)   If you are the Project Manager, what actions would you take based on these figures? (5 marks)

3.          Consider the following network diagram for a project. The duration of each activity (in days) is given.

(a) Calculate early start, early finish, late start, and late finish for each of the activities using the Two-Pass method. Assume the project starts on Day 0. Fill in the table below.           (6 marks)
