A) General Notes
1. This Assignment is worth 22.5% ofyour final grade.
2. The due date for hand‐in is 5 June 11:59PM
3. Late hand in for up to a week will incur an automatic deduction of30%.
4. Assignments will not be accepted for any submission later than oneweek.
5. References should be cited according to APA standard 7th edition
6. Your entire submission should be limited to 2500 words.
7. Your submission must be your own work. Any cheating, plagiarism or academic dishonesty will not be tolerated and will be dealt with according to the relevant University Statutes. We will also be utilising Turnitin software as one of the means to detect plagiarism. A plagiarism index of greater than 15% will be subject to disciplinary action. You may utilise AI software for research, but you may not utilise AI software such as Chatgbt for writing of the report. Should you use AI software for writing of the report, you may be found in breach of Academic Integrity requirements and subject to sanction according to the relevant University regulations and procedures.
B) Question
You are to write a formal engineering report on the following topic:
Sustainability in Construction
Climate change and sustainability goals are of increasing importance worldwide.
In order to achieve global and local sustainability targets, construction supply chains need to improve their sustainability. You are to discuss a topic of construction sustainability of your choice. The topic should also include some reference to a relevant case study. Note that case studies can either be from New Zealand or from overseas.

Important note :
While the report must be structured appropriately, it is to be noted that there may be differences in layout from student to student. While students should not be marked down for differences, irrespective of the details of the layout, the report should be logical in terms of the flow of its narrative.
