Coursework: Group Presentation
The assessment is an oral presentation of your project described in your research report. Your research will be a comprehensive analysis of a single topic on business intelligence and data analytics. You will need to carefully examine and present the following:
l The significance of the selected topic,
l Related research that has been done (to put your work in context),
l Data source / data set you selected,
l Data exploration and analysis process,
l Results interpretation,
l Conclusion.
You may select a data set from (but not limit to) the following data sources:
1. https://www.kaggle.com/
2. https://aistudio.baidu.com/competition (you have to present in English)
3. http://archive.ics.uci.edu/ml/
Each project case (data set) usually provides a short description with attribute information. Each project will likely have a different focus and structure. You are encouraged to attend a competition, e.g., in above data source 1 & 2. If you win a competition or get a good ranking, this will evidence the value of your project and you will get extra credit (up to 10) in this coursework.
Group size:
You can form. a team with 3-6 members based on your own needs and willing. If you are going to attend a competition, you may consider its requirements when forming the team. Please submit you team list to me before week 3. Ater that, for those who cannot form. a team, I will help them establish teams with 4-5 students. All presentation will be marked using the criteria in the marking rubric below, disregarding the team size. Each member in the same team normally will get the same marks.
Time limit:
The length of your presentation should be about 8 to 10 minutes.
Submission:
The presentation video must be submitted on Learning Mall Online no later than 11:59 pm, Sunday, 12 May 2024 (China Standard Time, UTC/ GMT+8).

Marking:
The presentation for your selected topic will count for 30% of your final mark. There are 100 total marks available. The mark will be determined using the criteria from this rubric.
