Note3: First, discuss briefly about the organization and then its culture. The major part must cover the culture of the organization.
Part – D) [This part has no link with Part-C answer independently]
Do the research work to find projects which are completed or in process.
(D-1) First, list three projects that have been completed and two projects that are in progress.
(D-2) For all five projects listed in part D-1, briefly discuss (at least) their scope, duration, and budget independently.

QUESTION 2
Mr. John and his wife, Nancy, are planning their new house. The house's lot is in a small county's newly developed area. The plans show the house size to be 225 square yards, equal to 2025 square feet. The average price for a lot and house similar to this one has been $475 per square foot. Fortunately, Mr. John is a handy person working with a property and home maintenance company and feels he can save money by performing Furnace installed and plumbing fixtures himself. Nancy feels she can take care of the interior decorating.
The following average cost information is available from a local bank that loans local contractors and disperses progress payments to contractors when specific tasks are verified as completed.

Excavation and framing complete |
9.85% |

a. What is the estimated cost for John's house if they use contractors to complete the entire house? Must show the cost breakdown for each task.
b. Estimate the amount to be paid to the contractor if John and his wife use their talents to complete some tasks themselves. Must show the revised cost breakdown for each task.
Note: Show support work. You may not get full marks if only the final answer is provided.
Note: This question is designed for testing purposes only.
Question # 3
Mega Master Public Company (MMPC) specializes in designing and assembling the agricultural drone. Top Farming Inc. (TFI) gave the first order to supply seven drones. MMPC produced and delivered these seven drones to TFI.
Four factors are involved: quality hours from the quality department, technical hours from the engineering department, electrical hours from the electrical department, and material and other costs. Learning varies for these factors, and there is no change in the material and other costs. The first drone took 42 hours from the engineering department, 30 hours from the electrical department and 21 hours from the quality department. Material and other costs for each drone are $1076 per drone. MMPC determined a learning rate of 80% in engineering department hours, 75% in electrical department hours and 90% in quality department hours. MMPC pay $40, $44, and $32 per hour to their engineering, electrical, and quality workers, respectively.
Top Farming Inc. placed a second order for nine drones immediately after receiving the first order. They were satisfied with the performance of the drones and placed a third order for fourteen drones. Learning in all three departments' hours continues, and the MMPC pay rate, material and other costs have not changed. MMPC completed and delivered all orders to TFI.
(a) What would be the average cost of a unit in the third order?
(b) What was the cost of the 9th unit of the third order?
(c) TFI contacted MMPC to place a fourth order for 40 more drones. Now, the pay rates in all departments of MMPC increased by 8.25%, and material and other costs increased by $364.
(c-i) Assume that the conditions are totally in MMPC's favor, which means the
learning continues in all three departments. What would be the total cost of this fourth order?
(c-ii) Assume that conditions are totally in MMPC's favor, which means the learning continues in all three departments. What would be the cost of the 15th drone of this fourth order?
(c-iii) Suppose there was a significant delay between the third and fourth orders.
Assume that conditions are not in MMPC's favor, which means the learning achieved by completing the previous orders didn't continue. What would be the total cost of this fourth order?
Question # 4

Answer the following questions:
a. Draw the network for the above project, compute each activity's early, late, and slack
times, and mark the critical path/s on the network. Must use the given legend of the node. Must include start and finish node.
b. Which activities are critical, state all?
c. What is the project completion time in days?
d. What is/are the critical path/s for the above project? State them?
e. Which activity/ies is/are burst activity/ies?
f. Which activity/ies is/are having properties of 'merge and burst' activity/ies?
g. How many paths are available in the network?
h. Draw the GANTT chart of the project.
i. If there is a delay in the completion of activity 'G' by two days, what impact will be on project completion time and critical path/s? Briefly explain. (No link with parts 'j or k')
j. If activity 'H' took an extra day to complete, what impact will be on project completion time and critical path/s? Briefly explain. (No link with parts 'i or k')
k. If activity 'L' is completed a day earlier than the estimated time, what impact will be on project completion time and critical path/s? Briefly explain. (No link with part 'i or j')
Note: when drawing, the network must use the following Node Legend. The diagram must be in the appropriate size. The page where you drew network diagram, no other work should be presented. Network diagram must be in the
Landscape form. of the page.
